Along with collecting nectar from flowering plants, Honeybees spend a great deal of their time outside the beehive foraging for pollen. Bee Pollen is regarded by many as nature's most complete food for it's high quantity of vitamins, proteins, minerals and amino acids. It has been used over the years to combat the symptoms of allergies and by the health conscious for added energy and vitality. Bee pollen dissolves easily, so it’s great mixed into smoothies, yogurt, or cottage cheese. Add to oatmeal, cereal, toast with honey, or even ice cream. You can also simply eat it by itself and enjoy the nutty, sweet/sour, taste. If you have never tried Bee Pollen it is recommended to start with small amounts and gradually work up to 1 - 2 tsp daily.
